Objective:
To provide candidates with practical knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in buildings and to provide a basic knowledge of asbestos removal procedures.

The qualification is suitable for duty holders, or anyone who assists them in the discharge of their responsibilities. It is also suitable for anyone who:
- Manages asbestos in buildings.
- Procures asbestos-related services.
- Wishes to progress into asbestos management from asbestos surveying or analysis.

The BOHS P405 is held in the following locations:

Each course consists of:
- 4 days classroom training (eighteen hours of teaching and learning time)
- 46 hours of independent study (in your own time)
Assessment
Candidates for this course are expected to be aware of the contents of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Regulation 4 and supporting Approved Code of Practice and guidance L143 Managing and working with asbestos.
To gain the qualification the candidate must pass both parts of the assessment within a 12-month period:
- Written Theory examination
- Written Practical examination
