The Testing Lab PLC conduct UKAS ISO/IEC 17020:2012 accredited pre-refurbishment surveys nationwide; on domestic, commercial, and industrial buildings.
WHAT IS A REFURBISHMENT SURVEY?
A pre-refurbishment survey (commonly known as an R&D survey) is required before any refurbishment works are carried out. This type of survey is used to locate and describe, as far as reasonably practicable, all asbestos containing materials in the area where the refurbishment works will take place. The refurbishment survey will be fully intrusive and may involve destructive inspection, as necessary, to gain access to all areas including those that are difficult to reach.
IS A REFURBISHMENT SURVEY THE SURVEY I REQUIRE?
A refurbishment survey may be required in circumstances when more intrusive maintenance and repair work will be carried out. A pre-refurbishment asbestos survey will identify any ACM’s, (asbestos containing materials) with a recommendation of whether these items will require removal or treatment, before any planned maintenance, immediate repairs or refurbishment works can be completed.
